For Sale- 2001 Dodge Durango 5.9. Red with Tan Leather. Loaded. Located in Fort Lauderdale. $9,500.
Truck is in very good condition and has 60,800 miles. Clean carfax report, never been in any accidents.
Model is "SLT Plus" - the only one higher was the $38,000 R/T - this is identical to the R/T with the exception of seat design, axle ratio, and muffler.
Loaded - fog lights, heated/power seats, leather, 3rd row seats, 9.25" rear end, driver/passenger and rear A/C controls, tow package w tranny cooler, upgraded alt, etc. Two wheel drive because I didn't want/need the complexity of the 4wd system. Gets 16-17 mpg highway.
The 5.9 engine is a workhorse and the same one they put in the big trucks. Running great - tons of power - always well maintained, synthetic fluids, 1 year old front rotors, pads, tires, and have recently done the standard 60k service items. Can find receipts for some of that but I'm not the most organized. :)
I believe the tow rating on this model (3.55 rear end) is around 5000-5500 lbs. If it had the 4.10 rear gears it would be rated 6800-7200. Towed my 19' boat a total of 500 miles with it. I am the second owner, bought it with 22,000 miles and it looked showroom new when I got it. Recently bought a 27' boat that weighs 7000+ lbs so for liability reasons I bought myself a 2004 Durango instead.
It is a nice truck, well sized and powerful, but with the big boat I wanted something with a bit more heft to it.
