I have a 2001 Suzuki 115 Four Stroke for sale that I have bought from a dealer a month ago. I have since bought a 140 HP Suzuki and will not use the 115 Suzuki. The engine was sold new by the dealer and just had the 200 hour service with plugs, oil change, water pump, etc. I believe the exact hours are 231. The engine is a 25 inch shaft. The owner of the engine bought a new 140 HP Suzuki from this dealer.

Price is $3900 with a Binnacle Control from a Johnson 4 stroke. (same as Suzuki)
I do have an aluminum prop for the engine.

If interested, pm me or call 919-649-8058

just courious why you decided to go with the 140 over the 115. I ask since I too have a parker 18 with a 115 yam and will be repowering in the future. Also in atlantic beach

I decided to go with the 140 just because a friend of mine had one and the condition was about the same as the 115 with regards to hours and how it was maintained. The dealers tell me that there is not much difference between the two engines and that I probably wasted my money on the 140. I guess it is too late for that discussion since it has already happened. The consensus of comments on that has been that it might be 1 or 2 miles an hour faster, but not much difference in the torque or cruise.

Thanks just wondered about the performance difference. I am hoping my repower is a ways away but am having some issues with my 115 yam and don't know what the actual outcome will be.
thanks

Just curious. Since this is the same as the Johnson 115 4 stroke, would it work w/ controls for a Johnson?

I am not sure but I think the control box is OK to use if you use the 33 cables (universal) that fit both the Suzuki and the Yamaha. I know that the Johnsuki uses the current binnacle and you can use the universal cables on that model binnacle. Maybe Jonruden can answer if he sees the post or Seahorse.

My deal on the Johnson version of the Suzuki is gone. Will you be around this week to show me the motor? Can we run and do a compression test there? Send a pm with address and good time for you.

Thanks,
