I have a small claims case pending against an a-hole tree service company here in Cabarrus county for cutting the wrong trees. Today I get a Fed Ex from "The Judge Maria Lopez" show asking me to come to NYC and tape the show and present my case....... I'll keep you informed of the progress....... I'm beginning to think I should pass on this "opportunity" to become a world famous television star. Based on some of the things mentioned here, plus some research I've done on my own, my opinion of Judge Lopez is less than stellar.
Regardless of her standing and her past judgements, the only favorable point to the offer is a guaranteed judgement payment versus me having to collect the judgement locally. NOW, given my past background in law enforcement, and having dealt with the courts on matters of this nature, I KNOW how to collect on a judgement by the various methods as described in the Civil process statutes.

I went on her show and had my case tried. I have never felt so shafted in my entire life.

Let me break it down to you so you can understand how my case happened. I was going to a car show at a dealership lot to find that there was no parking spaces, except for one that I saw. The spot had nothing to warn me not to park there, had lines and looked like a normal parking spot. As I pulled into the normal looking parking spot, what I thought was a stationary display car parralel to the parking spot I was about to park in, was actually slowly rotating, and rotated into my car door. My car was hit by the dealerships display, and in 99% of car accident cases, the person who is hit, is the one who is not at fault. Also might I add that businesses are legally responsible to block off unforeseen hazards on there property, (I.E. slippery when wet signs).

I sent in a tape that clearly documented the case and exactly how it happened that day. My tape was heavily edited by her and her staff on her show. I also was treated like I was her child, than a 21 year old man and told by her that I was not carefulfor what happened that day and its my fault for what happened to my car that day. I want to ask you, can you honestly say, that before you park in what appears to be a normal parking spot, do you check for a couple seconds to see if the cars will rotate into the parking spot?

Well according to judge lopez, I wasnt careful enough for what the dealerships display did to my car. The dealership did not have a cone in the parking spot that day (they do now), so because someone was neglegent to put the cone in the parking spot that day, it is thusly my fault for what happened according to her skewed sense of justice.

Good call man, dont go on her show, or watch it. I personally hope she rots in hell, she let a pedophile go after he molesteda 5 year old and was kicked off the bench, but then rewarded with a tv show. I got shafted by her, and she did not let my complete my whole story before coming to a decision. The average case would take 20-30 minutes, she took all of 5 minutes on my case and did not let me finish my story, before reaching her judgement. If Johnny Cochran had presented me, I still would have lost.

Now I have to pull $1300 out of my own bank account to repair what the dealerships display did to my car. How often is it that the person who gets hit in a car accident, is deemed at fault for what happened to there car? Id say 99% of the time, its deemed the other persons fault. I mean really people, how many of you actually check to see if the car next to you is about to rotate into your parking space, before you pull into it??

She has the legal sense of a bowl of jello. Its more like flipping a coin if you win, than actually having a legal expert look over your case and come to a legal decision. DO NOT WATCH JUDGE LOPEZ SHOW, I WAS SHAFTED BY JUDGE LOPEZ.

Sounds to me like you pulled in front of a moving vehicle, that was in the intersection again, and again, and again ;? Placing yourself and your car at risk of injury , not just once but many times.
If I had done what you describe, I would feel pretty silly, not victimized.

A wet floor is something that is easily overlooked. A rotating vehicle display weighing 1000's of pounds and on the move(?).

I mean come on, this sounds like the kind of thing a real nut sack would do.

Quite interesting that for a first post, someone by the screen name of sirscrotum would choose a topic titled, "well touch me". Perhaps he has been doing too much touching of those little jelly beans in the sac. His closest friends are an ahole and dick so what choices does he have. He beats up on dick till he throws up. Then, still spinning with a feeling of euphoria, parks next to a car that is spinning but to him it looks stationary,ergo, accident. Dr.Phil reccommends castration. Why would you go on a cracker jack show like that for justice. I deal with the court system every day. It is bad enough with out these clowns. I lock them up and they let them out it just business. I'm glad you did not go on that Bullship show you can be a star right here on the THT.

DC, that was my point all along, these "shows" (in my opinion) make a mockery of the real court system and the "judges" are normally barred from practicing REAL law because of some past indiscretion. I refuse to further BS of this nature either by watching it or by participating. :trout: :trout: :trout:

They pruned 3 trees (that I DIDN'T want pruned) before I could stop them and now I have no privacy on my screen porch or deck in the rear of the house. It has taken almost 15 years to get the limbs to grow to the length they were so they provided privacy. All the little SOB had to do was walk 120 feet to the front door and the whole mess could have been avoided. Lazy bast@rd............. :mad: :mad: :mad: :trout: :trout:

To assess the damage I'd consult a few arborist's; they will be able to indicate how long it will take for the pruned trees to grow back if they ever can. When you go to court (if you do) you will need this info, damages will be based off of these numbers. I would also have a wide range of pics showing the layout of the deck, yard and the relationship between your deck/ yard and your neighbors. ;)

Got it, got them and am prepared....... I'll let you know how it comes out, court is tomorrow @ 8:30.........
