I have the multi-function gauges, installed by my dealer and have no Yamaha manuels for them. They are not very hard to figure out but, I keep hearing people talking about the fuel consumption gauges. Two questions - 1.Does the multi-function have this feature hidden somewhere in them? 2. How can this type of gauge accuratly measure fuel consumption? Fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate in boats and consumption has every thing to do with the thottle??

You probably don't have the Yamaha Fuel Management gauges. If you do, you should have 3 gauges, one for tach, one for speed and the third would be fuel management. Integrated into the first two are things like motor trim, oil warning, temp warning, fuel level, etc.. Fuel consumption on the fuel management gauge is measured by a sensor in-line on your fuel line. Usually that gauge is tied to your GPS as well.
