Just wanted to congratulate all of the teams that fished on Saturday, it was an awesome day of fishing! Team Sundance Marine took home 6th place and top junior angler award. Our team this time consisted of myself, Capt. Kevin Kates, his son Wesley, my beautiful partner Ms. Jager, my cousin Richie, and Tom Hill. We all worked hard all day with fish everywhere. We started off of San Remo first thing in the morning. As soon as we stopped, I went up to the bow to put the first kite up and looked over the side to spot two nice dolphin swimming next to the boat. Priscila and Wesley immedeately grabbed a couple spinners and fired out two pilchards and were on instantly. Wesley's bull came right to the boat at 20 lbs while Priscila's gave us some grief for about 20 minutes, then finally making it to the boat to be a 21 lb cow. This was a perfect way to start the day! We saw little more action there and ran up to the Breakers and found ourselves in the middle of a red hot king bite. We caught more than 20 kings and boated 4 to weigh with the pounds at 12, 16, 21, and 22. We were covered up with bonitas all day trying to pick through and get a blackfin. We finally found one towards 2:00 PM that went 31 lbs! Our final weight was 146 lbs, putting us in 6th place at the end of the day. All in all it was an awesome day of fishing and a great time! I want to thank Sundance Marine for making it all happen and getting us out there in a beautiful new 34 Fountain with trip 275 Verados  , what a machine! I also want to thank the rest of the crew for working so hard to make it happen on Saturday, teamwork pays off big time! I also want to thank my wonderful fishing chick for sticking it out with us boys AGAIN and perservering to the very end in quest of some bigger fish for top female and never giving up, you are always my #1 baby!

Nice going! I'll take 6th place anyday!

Good to complement the girls. We often forget the ladies and push them from fishing. Women are better anglers, for the most part, with their patience and determination! Us men tend to overlook them, so its great to hear a guy give them props. My wife almost loves fishing as much as me, so WE can do this the rest of our lives together!

Congrats again :)

Joey, that is a great report. Now I'm really sorry I did not do this tournament. Quite a team you got there. I can be drafted you know for the next tournament  . I'll start my way at the bottom (i.e. clean the boat, rods, pick up after everyone) and then work my way up to your level little by little. C'mon what do say? :Q
