Andy: I have a '05 Yamaha F250 My fuel/water sep is Raycor..Model # S-3232ul. Do you know what micron this filter is. Also, can I replace it with one that has the clear bowl at the bottom with out changing out the base etc.??
Hope I'm making myself clear. Thanks for your help...
Bill
Hi Bill,
That Racor filter has a 10 micron rating. It also is a 90gph element meaning that is a rather physically large filter. It must have aluminum water bowl installed and it may appear to you that it is part of the filter, when its not.
The standard clear bowl will be a direct replacement to the metal bowl you currently have. Please send me an email to
[email protected] (
[email protected]) if you would like a quote for that water bowl. They are not terribly expensive.

Andy...Thanks for the come back...But my filter has a" brass type screw" at the bottom. Not seeing any glass bowl??? Your thoughts????
Should I or can I just replace with a Model #3213 when the time comes.
Tx again for your help.
Bill
Bill,
You most certainly have a painted white aluminum water bowl that the brass plug is threaded into it. All you need to do is replace that metal bowl with a clear one. Very simple to do. After installing the clear bowl you will need to fill the filter back up with gas before spinning it back on.
No need to change out the base unless you want a SS version. Your current one is a painted aluminum base.
Thanks,
Andy

Thanks Andy...Didn't realize that was a water bowl. Duh.. Sorry.
If you recomend the CLEAR BOWL is the better way to go I will order one from you as I should have a back up anyway.. Pls. let me know & I will order. Thanks.
Bill
ps:Your also right about my base being aluminum. It's new, so for now I will go with it but if I see any corrsion will order a S/S base from you. Thanks for being such a great resource for us "challenged" boatsmen, but even better a "good honest guy" to do business with. Thanks
Bill,
You do not need to replace your current bowl unless you want a convenient way to visually check for water and a more convenient way to drain it if you do.

Andy: Yes, I would like a more convenient way to check it for water(especially with E-85 fuel coming) and to drain it.
Let me know what I need to order. Thanks again..
