Stretch....I dont know why you think that.......
I think that boat would run great with that F150 on there....Probally the strongest 150 on the market.....
Shame that boat is 11,500 above my budget, or I would show you quick....Id be on that like a bum on a ham sandwich...
Good luck with the sale,,,great boat for someone....

Hey, very nice boat! does Sailfish offer aftermarket electronics boxes, this is the only thing your boat doesn't have that me and my dad want in a 218CC...PM me!

Just because you think it has adequate power does not mean the market agrees with you. 2900 lbs. of hull weight AND 24 degrees of transom deadrise AND a T-Top is, in the minds of some people, too much boat for a 150 four-stroke. I hope the boat sells yesterday but I believe it would sell quicker with more ponies. Just something to think about if you are contemplating an order of a new Sailfish 218.

Ya but the 225 4-stoke is ~$9K more ......
Does the boat have any huricane flood damage?

Thanks for the bump BrooklynJoe. The 150 has plenty of power. The 225 weight is something to consider and the price difference doesn't equate for me.

The F225 is not priced anywhere close to $9K more than the F150. $2500 is about right.

Go to Sailfishboats.com and research the difference between the 200 2cycle and the 225 4 stroke, then lookup the 150 4 stroke. There won't be much difference except added weight
actually it is about 6 grand more for a 150 than a 225. thats why you see so many 150's these days

I just bought the exact same boat EXCEPT I have the Yammy 200HPDI - paid $33k. No trailer. I think I got a great deal.
BTW - the 200HPDI only gets me about 2mph @ WOT than the 150 four stroke, but it does give a better - holeshot - which is not important to most boaters.

Stretch, your right if you want to buy the motor from a dealer elsewhere, but if you want Sailfish to put that motor on you Sailfish at the factory, it'll cost you about $9K. Aggrivating, but thats pretty close to what Sailfish sells them for. I actually believe now that you can only go 200 and 250 4- stroke anyway, might be wrong on that.

The correct protocol is to buy a wheel and start your own "For Sale" thread. Good Luck
