I am very interested in one of these boats. Since they are relatively new I was wondering if any owners out there would be willing to share their experience. I know relatively little about the boat, save for the manufacturers reliability and quality. My current boat is great but I want to focus more on offshore and fishing. I am finding that I am not using the full benefits of a walkaround and think that a cc will get more and better use. The 28 seems to get great fuel econ and speed, etec 250's support 3 mpg at @ 45mph and a top speed of 60mph. Any body have different engine setups? I rather like the twin 250 setup but feel it might be overkill. No battles about yamaha is better than merc or johnson is better than yamaha. I will probably go with a set of yamaha F250's unless there is a hellofa deal out there.
How is the ride in 3 - 5 ft close quater chop, very common in the chesapeake bay? What about dryness and spray? The roll of the boat at a drift? How about towability? Any one have experience wiring the hardtop with electronics? Rough estimates of pricing?
Any one with experience with boat that has input, will be greatly apprecieated.
