My boat came with a BF Goodwrich Crewsaver 6 man offshore raft in a canister. It was made in 1987 and was recertified every year until 1998 - never since. Is it worth trying to get it certified or should I start looking for a new one - is there a chance that this thing will recertify?. I would love to delay the expense for another year. I am recreational and go 50 - 80 miles offshore 8-10 times a year and less than 20 the rest of the time. What raft would you recommend -

One thing that you have going for you is this raft, (although it is not made anymore) is built like a tank. It was a great raft in it's day and very likely still could be. Tell me where you are located I will tell you who the nearest Crewsaver Service Station is.

You can bring that in to Marine Saftey Corp in Farmingdale 732-938-5668, they might pick up in Cape MAy.
