Typical Florida storm weather causes typical flooding in the streets here in Tampa Bay. Spent yesterday afternoon/night pulling cars out that stalled, water was half way up the doors. Ended up pulling 9 cars out, my neighbor pulled out 6 or 7. I think we pissed off the tow truck drivers who were waiting in the area that weren't flooded because they wouldn't pull cars out of the flooded area and we didn't charge people although I did end up getting $150 in tips.

Well I guess now we know the Tundra is more of a displacement hull.

LOL, I know. The wakes actually came up on my driveway which is 2-3' higher the street and probably 20' from where he drove thru the street.

I don't know why your pictures triggered this thought, but.....
The first time I ever saw a street flooded I was just newly living on my own. I decided to take the soap and shampoo and go bathe. The girl across the street saw me from here bedroom window and came down to join me. The next thing you know we are getting it on behind her daddies shed out back her place.
Memories ....I never did sack that girl again, but I did get most of her girlfriends.

had a customer up north who was carefully driving through a flooded parking lot when a car crossed in front of them and the wake got sucked into the engine intake for the win...multiple bent rods and a big repair bill for me...a lesson learned for them...

My in-laws live over there. I had to go pick them up when it flooded a couple of months ago and bring them to our house.

Had a few idiots who ran into the water at 45mph. Their cars stalled but they kept cranking it until it turned over, only to pull off with THICK black smoke coming out the back and a really bad smell.
