Was in my "man cave music room" over the weekend goin' through some 45's :o and flippin' stuff on the old BSR turntable with the '69 Kenwood SEPERATE amp and tuner and the BIG Technics speakers from the early '70's. ;cool; Wife got me a "colored light disco ball" a few weeks ago, so I had to turn THAT on, too! ;cool; All that, plus 3 guitars, amps, effects stuff, etc. makes it a NICE place to blow the roof off! ;cool;:grin:

I've got about 200 - 45's, 150+ LP "vinyls", 100 or so "pre-recorded" cassettes, and a few hundred CDs. :grin::thumbsup: Plus, probably 500 hours of stuff on cassettes off the radio "channel surfing". ;cool;

Ran into this one and it got "stuck" in the head - you know, one of them "oldies" that when you hear it you're hummin' it or singin' :o it for DAYS! :thumbsup:

"Music" is an ENDLESS thing for me - it's ALWAYS on my feeble mind, and I STILL "envision" starting a group called "Senior (accent on the "e") Citizen" - dressing up as "little old ladies" and coming out on a stage with "walkers", canes, etc. lookin' like something from "AARP rejects" and CRANKIN' it up with everything from heavy metal to '80's-'90's stuff! :thumbsup:

Only a dream, I guess, but lots of fun to think about (I think I could get my son (guitar), a drummer (from my son's "garage band" days), and a couple of others to give it a try, but we 'ain't ready - YET!) :nono::grin:

Anywho - here's the stuck one ... ENJOY! ;cool;

Aimee looks good waking up in the morning!!

I can't work in my shop without music on...

Or drive my truck..

I can still remember all the music I used to hear back in the 60's when working the night shift stocking shelves at the local Kash N Karry...

It was the summer of '66, and everyone of those songs are ingrained in my head. And as soon as one of them comes on the oldies station, it takes me right back there.

Red '60 MGA...never had the top up. Always had the music on loud from the old AM radio and tinny speaker in it...

And those songs..."Black is Black, Good Vibrations, Paint it Black, Summer in the City, Did you ever have to Make up your Mind, I Saw her Again...

Oh, yeah...music was and is something I can't do without....

Those songs that get stuck in your head, I've heard them referred to as ear worms.

OK, can you remember the first music you bought with your own money? For me it would have to be an Elvis Presley album, I wore the grooves off that thing. For reference I'm 54.

My son does music recording...and the old stereo equipment is in high demand. You can't reproduce that sound with todays computer generated stuff. I think the new music is way too sterilzed sounding. Some of the older stuff has studio recording flaws that actually enhances the uniquness of the sound. For example Black Dog by Zeppelin is really rough at the beginning but thats what gives it that uniqueness also. Anotherwards do throw any of that equipment away.

Growing up we didn't have money to buy 45's or albums but my parents had a few I remember.
The Herb Alpert was the raciest thing we ever saw.
Maybe that is why I took up playing the trumpet and love brunettes!!! :o

Everly Brothers
Maybe that cover is why I have always liked motorcycles.

Johnny Cash- I can not find that album cover of the one we had.
Maybe his life style is why I was strung out on drugs....:o....NO, Just kidding about that one. I was able to stay away from drugs growing up thankfully.

When we would go to my cousins house, they had a lot of 45's we would play.
We would listen to music and read their comic books.......Good times.........
