I was browsing ads and saw this one titled - 2007 Fountain 38 TECuddy Triple 275 Verados - $88000 (atlanta)

That is a lot bigger and nicer than what I'm in the market for now but caught the price and thought it sounded really amazing. Based on what they are selling for everywhere else I though I found a gem here in Atlanta that I could flip and make some money.

Doing some research I did a search on "2007 Fountain 38 TECuddy Triple 275 Verados" and there are pages of this same ad listed all over the country on Craigslist, definite crook here.

A few years ago I came close to getting taken on buying a "to good to be true price" on a 20HP Merc tiller steer I was looking for. Lots to the story like he was in the military, they would ship it to me for free, etc, etc. Kept wanting me to pay through GreenDot or something like that. Once I asked about paying with Escrow.com I never heard from them again.

I know I'll get an interesting response to this ad wanting a deposit and the boat is in (not near me).

Just a heads up on anything on Craigslist, be careful. I'm sure most know but if we save on or two of us from getting scammed it is worth mentioning.

They have some good info at http://www.craigslist.org/about/scams

Anyone who buys off of craigslist who does not do their due diligence deserves to get whatever they buy - or think they bought. "There's a sucker born every minute:" to quote P.T Barnam, and scammers prey on these people infinitem.
