The Carolinas - Murrells Inlet report Sunday

Lines in at day break. Started off slow but ended up having a great day. 2 40lb wahoo a 20lb king 5 blackfin tuna and a very exciting blue marlin estimated at 250lbs. Seas were sporty at times with the approaching cold front and band of tstorms. Gotta love xm weather this time of year. Helped us navigate around them storms and stay safe. Overall a great day and hopefully a sign of good things to come for our fall fishing season!

That sounds good, we are going Wednesday, hope for the same results.

Nice catch!! Been holding my finger on the trigger of getting xm weather for my garmin. Does it show good temp breaks in addition to the storms ? Think they wanted 35 a month for the service last time I checked. Blackfins on bird and feather or they eat big baits ?

Xm temp breaks are tough this time of year but visible. Better when more contrasting water temps. All blackfins came on mini green machine behind bird. Fished scarp area from 130 ft to 300.

Nice report, I wanted to head to the scarp saturday but T storms scared me off. From the back porch Sunday actually looked worse. Sounds like it was well worth it though! Need some Tuna!
