> The President has ordered the cabinet to cut $100,000,000.00 ($100 million) from the $3,500,000,000,000.00 ($3.5 trillion) federal budget.
>
> I'm so impressed by this sacrifice that I have decided to do the same thing with my personal budget. I spend about $4,000.00 a month on groceries, household expenses, medicine, and utilities, but it's time to get out the old budget cutting axe, go through my expenses with a fine tooth comb, and slash back.
>
> I'm going to cut my spending at exactly the same ratio, 1/35,000 of my total budget. After doing the math, it looks like instead of spending $4,000 a month; I'm going to have to slash that number by 12 cents.
>
> Yes sir, from now on I'm going to have to get by on only $3,999.88, but that's what sacrifice is all about! I'll just have to do without some things, that are, frankly, luxuries - all 12 cents worth.
>
> Did Obama actually think no one would do the math? This is how idiotic a $100 million cut is in the scope of a $3,500,000,000,000.00 budget!

That might be true, but there is a day of reckoning coming.......they will figure it out when the debt can no longer be sustained and the handouts stop coming.

Trust me, they are going to stop, the question is just "when"?
The constantly increasing deficits are unsustainable, and that's not even taking into account the unfundable liabilities (benefits, pensions, medicaid, etc..) that are somewhere in the 60-70 trillion dollar range for federal, state, and local municipalities over the next couple decades.
We are quickly reaching the inflection point where regardless of how much they extract from us through excessive taxation it won't be nearly enough to pay the entitlements and liabilities, when we reach that point the charade is over.

The problem is that our populace has lived such comfortable lives sheltered from real hardships that they lack a grasp on reality, and believe that it can't possibly happen to us, but history is littered with examples that prove otherwise.

I don't want to sound like a conspiracy nutcase, but the day of reckoning may come in our lifetimes, if you're 50-60 years old. Consider this:

--Not too many Americans are aware that Homeland Security, the Social Security Administration, and many other Govt. agencies have been stock-piling millions of bullets, many of which are hollow-point. Why would these agencies need hollow-point bullets except to cause maximum damage during a firefight.

--Similarly, local and state police have been conducting exercises with military entities, like the National Guard and active duty Army units, in how to deal with civil unrest.

--There is a significant effort on the part of Govt. to remove our weapons from us.

--The Patriot Act and a couple of other fairly recent laws, allow the killing of Americans, suspension of habeas corpus, and indefinite detention.

--The more people who are subject to Govt. handouts result in a more compliant population. At least a third of the population are on some type of social welfare, beholden to the Govt. for their every penny. Those individuals are less like to complain about Govt. intervention into their daily lives.

There is a lot of information out there, where if you put the pieces together sounds rather draconian, at least to me and a lot of other people. Some of these things are similar or identical to methods used by tyrants, not the least of whom was Hitler, throughout history to subdue their populations. I'm not hysterical about all this, but it certainly gives me pause to at least consider there is a brewing grand plan to change America into something it has never been before. A peaceful solution, the American way, is possible if we vote into office people who support our Constitutional protections. It's time we stand up for our rights.

And that's exactly what it is, with the end result being a collapse of such magnitude that it cedes all power to the few elite running the oligarchy.
The massive and unsustainable deficits are intentional, as they are the egine that ultimately allows them to achieve their goal.

Look at it like a jigsaw puzzle, it may not be entirely complete yet, but it's assembled enough to see what the completed picture will be.

What if,
the time comes,
when OUR service men and women,
are ordered to point their guns,
at the American people,
their own Fathers, Mothers, brothers and sisters,
and had the politicians standing BEHIND them,
to force the American people,
to be compliant and fall in line.

WHAT IF,
OUR service men and women,
just turned around and pointed the guns the other way,
and cleaned house, so,
"We the people",
could take OUR country back.....

what if?

What will it take to have America wake up?

The 51% getting free chit, don't want a thing to change.

If we really knew how bad it is, there would be a revolution.

The late (GREAT) Ron Smith of WBAL in Baltimore, said one day to a caller that was madder then hell,
(summarizing his quote)

"The American people will never do anything,...... you know why?
I'll tell you why!
As long as you have your big screen TV, your six pack of beer to watch the ball game, you'll never do anything!"

Add in there your ability to go fishing, boating, do any hobby...when they start taking away your ability to have freedom of choice we'll get the picture but by then it will be too late.

We are being destroyed from the inside.

I deliberately stayed away from naming names because then the thread would probably come too political and result in its removal. But, WRT to having nothing positive to look forward to, I agree that even many of the conservative politicos leave much to be desired, leaving many of us holding our noses as we execute our votes.

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel,
"Pick up your shovels, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead
you to the Promised Land."

Nearly 75 years ago, (when Welfare was introduced) Roosevelt said,
"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a Camel,
this is the Promised Land."

Today, Congress has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the
price of Camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

I was so depressed last night thinking about Health Care Plans, the
economy, the wars, lost jobs, savings, Social Security, retirement
funds, etc .... I called a Suicide Hotline.

I had to press 1 for English.

I was connected to a call center in Pakistan.
I told them I was suicidal.:(

They got excited and asked if I could drive a truck......;?

We're screwed.....:(
