I always tediously used single strand wire to make my king rigs. 40#.

Its seems alot quicker though to make a tandem treble rig with multistrand wire using the figure 8 knot, or the multi wraps around the hooks.

Curious what the pros and cons are here?- I'm low on my supply of rigs but have the tackle to make them either way. My fingers get sore after making 5 or 6 with the single strand wire.

I don't tournament fish anymore, but occasionally just want action when moving back inshore after slow days in the blue water.

Kings can more easily bite through seven strand especially on a prolonged fight with slightly increased drag pressure.

I think the argument can go either way.. Last trip, I had one bite off on single and a bite off on seven strand.

I have to agree with Jim. Both have been bitten into, and both have also hauled in some very big fish. As for me, I perfer single. For me it has been a better producer, I think it all just depends on how you like to rig.
