Mormons are HOT and clean ;) . I would go out and hang out down there during comings and goings!
A Mosque was trying to get built right near my parents house... on a TINY piece of property... in a residential neighborhood. Not only did they blame their denied permit on racisim but they were totally blind to the fact that the intersection that the place was going to be built was one of the most deadly in town!
The one thing that I would have been annoyed at if it had been built would have been that my parents would have had to listen to that call to prayer noise EVERY DAY. I'm equal opportunity hate though, I can't stand the ice cream man who comes around blaring his stupid xmas music in july too.

It varies. In our town, one Mormon church meets at 9:00 AM, the other at 11:30 AM. You'll have to wait until the church is built and posts worship service times.
Then you can put an ad for your house on the church bulletin board. :)

Be careful what you wish for. NO KIDDING!!!!!
Thats called a "Yankee Buyout"
Double the App price and wait for offers. Just make "Dang" sure you have something in there written that allows you some time in case it sells and your not ready. Mr Experence talking to you on this one.
Messing around with a little girl in Whiteville NC that sold homes.... Just a friend.
She told me to double the app price and if I didn't like the offer I could turn it down. No one would pay twice what the home is worth.... WRONG ANSWER. !!!
Home sold in two days, new owner told me I had 30 to get out cause we didn't have it wrote in there anything about time and he needed it now. He was homeless staying with family, trying to get near Wilimington where his daughter was and Lake Waccamaw was where he wished he could find a home. Got back from Calif, called, begged, hunted up every old friend I could find, to help me pack, moved everything to storage in Hurtford NC, lived on the truck for a month till I bought the yacht, then moved the yacht to New Bern. Stayed there a year till I found the Point up here. Thats how I became Liveaboard...
Just have your ducks in a row when you sign that paper cause you might just get what your asking for............................IT.. .:rofl:

Yes... I live just North East of the site.... Superstructure is up and it will most likely be completed late next year......
I want to wait until the spire is up - so a potential buyer can see it over the tree line behind my crib.. This shot is from the road - not my house...

I could ask my sister that was a "teacher" (I'm not sure of the correct term for someone not ordained) at the church in Salt Lake City. I will stress that they are Christians and share many of the same beliefs as any Christian group. I could not live up to their standards of, no alcohol, no caffeine, 2 yrs of missionary work, they tithe X% of their income and have extremely strong family values.
Services hours are the same as any church and will vary with location.
Our primary family worship service is called sacrament meeting. This meeting is held in our chapels on Sunday and lasts approximately 70 minutes. Visitors are welcome to attend. It is common for families to attend, and we are accustomed to having children as part of the congregation.
A typical meeting would consist of the following:
Hymns: Religious songs sung by the congregation (hymn books are provided).
Prayers: Offered by local Church members.
Partaking of the sacrament (communion): The sacrament consists of prepared bread and water, which is blessed and passed by priesthood holders to those in attendance who wish to do so.
Speakers: Typically a meeting will have two or three assigned speakers.
(Note: We do not pass a plate or request donations as part of our worship services.)
They will make great neighbors. We have a Mormon church near here, very near Shag's house.

You need to join. Advantages: walk to service; guaranteed admittance to see the Big Guy upstairs when your time is up; can post your house for sale on the members only board.
PS. Join before the elections and get a bunch of new friends to watch the election results party!
PPS. When you find out - what is the secret handshake?

LDS Temples are not used like a regular stake house(church) doubtful you will see a lot of activity. Those in high esteem in the LDS can have services in a Temple such as weddings etc. Lived in SLC four years and went to UTAH but not of the faith. The LDS position on health, family and self reliance are to be admired.

Not to send this thread into the bilge but I will argue that Mormons are not Christians. The Mormon religion is based on the teachings on Joseph Smith. He founded the religion by writing the book of Mormon. According to his Book of Mormon the teachings of the Mormon church supersede anything done by Jesus Christ. Any religion that does not hold the teachings of Christ as it highest authority is not a Christian religion. You can call them Mormons but don't call them Christians. I am not anti Mormon, but I don't appreciate the misrepresentation by the Mormon church in an effort to appear more mainstream especially as we are about to elect the first Mormon president.

As funny ad this South Park episode is- it is a true representation on the founding of the religion. Also, read Under the Banner of Heaven if you want a good idea as well.

I'm not Mormon, so I might get this wrong. The Book of Mormon is used in the faith as well as the Bible. The Book of Mormon is based on the premise that Jesus came to America.......nevermind, I'll look it up
The Book of Mormon is the word of God, like the Bible. It is Holy Scripture, with form and content similar to that of the Bible. Both books contain God's guidance as revealed to prophets as well as religious histories of different civilizations. While the Bible is written by and about the people in the land of Israel and surrounding areas, and takes place from the creation of the world until shortly after the death of Jesus Christ, the Book of Mormon contains the history and God’s dealings with the people who lived in the Americas between approximately 600 BC and 400 AD. The prophets in the Book of Mormon recorded God's dealings with His people, which were compiled by a prophet named Mormon onto gold plates. Before these faithful Christians perished, their record was safely hidden away.
So, if I'm reading it correctly, your boss would have had to be Native American in the way we think of Native Americans, just extinct. ;?
All I know is their belief in Jesus Christ as their savor is as strong or stronger than many traditional Christian faiths. They get a bum rap because of some long ago traditions, the actions of some splinter groups and lack of knowledge by outsiders. I was brought up Catholic and I'd say the Catholic Church has a lot more skeletons than the Mormon Church.

You are wrong. Joseph Smith "supposedly" found some gold plates or tablets written in a language that he didn't understand and God translated. Sound familiar? My take on it is that it's very similar to many Judeo-Christian faiths that have broken off from the original teachings. Mormonism is closer to other Christain faiths than Judism in that Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is their savior and the Jews do not.

It is difficult to believe in something based on faith. I hope that God forgives me that I question many things regarding religion. Still, a faith based on family and love can't be all bad. Also, the Mormons and the Jews have nothing against being prosperous and the American way.

I don't know. I didn't mean my post to be anti Mormon. All I know is that is what he did.
I have worked with quite a few Mormons and hesitatingly say that my experience has been that if you are NOT Mormon, most seem to feel justified in lying and cheating you. Almost like they are taught it. Kind of like the arab muslims I deal with.

Hope for your sake they don't ring bells! When I was young I have a Lutheran church at the corner of my apt. Every freaking Sunday for 15 min at a time they would ring those freaking bells every hour on the hour for services. It got to the point that I called them on it.
I said hey! I get calling the masses but they have watches and 5 min of bell ringing should be enough, starting this crap at 7:30 AM is too much.
They were very understandable and stopped the excessive ringing.

To the OP, I do believe that is a temple being built and to answer your questions, we do not have regular church services there. Those services are held in our churches every Sunday at different times depending on the area. There will be activity at the temple during the weekdays and evenings and on Saturdays. We don't have any bells ringing as mentioned so your safe that way:thumbsup:
