Hi everyone,

After searching around I have not exactly found what I am looking for. I would like to know what knot would be the strongest for attaching a swivel to 100 lb mono WITHOUT creating a double line.

Thanks!

Offshore knot

How do you tie that without a double? I use the Palomar.

Havent heard of offshore knot without double line either, please elaborate.

Have considered Palomar or Improved Clinch, just want to know what others would recommend that would be optimal.
Thanks.

I'd use the improved clinch. Three turns.

How do you tie the polamar without doubling the line?
My read is that afl wants to stay away from complicated knots like bimini, etc.

Palomar is the best knot for a single line connection to any terminal tackle.
With 100 lb line, make sure you wet the knot before pulling it tight.

I would tie a Palomar and not think about it again.

Cince it down well, including the tag end.

The Palomar is doubled within the knot, but is not tied (ie does not HAVE to be tied) in a doubled line, such as made with a Bimini twist, etc.

palomar x10, but just curious why not double the line?

I would also feel very confident in using a Uni knot... Super strong

Palomar seems to be the predominant choice...
Not doubling line as knot will not pass through guides.

You can't. But the double line section is only needed at the swivel, then trimmed, so it's not running thru the guides ...... ICM
