I replaced my raymarine with furuno over the winter, specifically the fcv-295 sounder with 526hdn transducer.
I am getting a solid return of the bottom with depth, but no marks. I turned the fish alarm on to make sure I hadn't lost all ability to find fish and sure enough, alarm is beeping away, still with no fish on the display.
I've been through the manuals, installation and operation, and can't figure out what I'm missing. Waiting on a call from furuno but I figured I'd ask here too.

What depth are you fishing?

Over wrecks in 50'-60' out to 200' or so.
Whatcha think?

Check your Gain setting. I bet you need to turn it up from where you are now.

low freq and high freq wires were reversed into the back of the sounder so thats a start.
check it out tomorrow,
