I'm starting to make my own teasers for tuna, mahi Ect. I've been using 100 pound mono and 5 4 1/2 inch squids spaced about 20 inches apart. Loop at one end and bb swivle at the other. Have caught some Bonita and small blackfins so far. I'm just wondering how you guys are rigging them. Also I ran across a deal on 4 inch islanders and was going to rig up 4 of those for a chain. Any pros or cons to using them instead if squid?

I use (4) 9" squids in tandem with a pink/white or blue/white Islander at the end. Hookless ballyhoo behind the Islander.
180 lb test flurocarbon.
Loop at one end for teaser reel and swivel at the other end to connect the 18" leader w/ Islander.
I have a bunch of these made up in different colors. Blue, blue/white, pink, pink white, green, rainbow.
I also put 1/2 oz egg sinkers in all my squids

I have a spanish mackerel behind a blue/white Islander.

Do you only use your downrigger for your dredge?

Yep, that's their sole purpose on my boat. I just don't use it for anything else.

Are you using cable, braid, or mono on them?
