In two days my 2013 Sea Hunt 25 Gamefish arrives. Twin Yamaha 150's.
I have a 2012 Sea hunt Ultra 234 that I keep in the Keys. On that boat, I have a Garmin 5208 (which I love), with a GSD22 Sounder. The dealer never spec'd the transducer other than to say it is 600w. After looking through the Garmin site, I can't find a 600w ducer that sends temp, speed and depth, so I have no idea what's in the Ultra (the paperwork is at the other house).
It also has a GMR 18HD radar dome and a basic Garmin 100 VHF.
Here's the question:
Since I plan on fishing the 25 Gamefish off of Ponce Inlet, what should I be looking for as far as the sounder and transducer? I plan on doing a 5212, and probably also the GMR 18HD radar.
Any opinions are welcome. I'm no genius when it comes to boat electronics, but I'm making an effort to do this right.
