Northeast - Jersey shore hang outs????

So as of this year the "f" cove had been shut down, that was the place to be on the weekend, where does everyone hang out or anchor up now?

Dunno where you are , I think barnegat? Theres a shoal by that kiddie beach and alot of people go there, I go to the sand bar BY (not in the inlet that sandbar will wreck you) the inlet in great bay but that's kinda far if you come out of barnegat

Applegate cove is a nice place to hang out,,,not as crowded as some of the other spots.

Tices and Silver Bay are the most popular but homeowners are always yelling at boats for being loud at Silver Bay. Joe where is the Applegate?

North side of barnegst inlet is a cool spot. Anywhere else in the bay and you'll come out of the water with nettle stings all over yourself.

Tices has had thousands of boats each weekend since June. It has been great this year.......

Tyces or Cattus Island

Tices and Silver Bay are the most popular but homeowners are always yelling at boats for being loud at Silver Bay. Joe where is the Applegate?

22 is where you peel off and go into Silver Bay, 24 is the next bouy south. I always thought that was called Cattus Island.

Thats it, look on your map and you will see it. Its very nice and has deep water for larger boats. We take a friends 42 Jefferson in there sometimes and have plenty of water. Much quieter then the more popular spots. I hope I just didn't let my secret spot out !! Enjoy.

Im not up there anymore, but its seems business has picked up at apple gate. I see about 20-30 boats there on a Saturday every weekend

which has the cleanest bottom and shallowest consistent water? Tices was nice the other day but I'd rather not travel the distance mostly for the ride home. On the plus side after 2 years in the making my friends finally went to Tices and are ready to go back LDW. Works incredibly for my investment in the new head unit and speakers.

On a side not between home depot and lowes what is the best mini boat tool kit everyone keeps aboard for non bay related voyages

The ride home generally always sucks in a smaller boat. Almost always a guaranteed 1-2 foot chop on the way home after 12. For me though, it only takes 20-25 minutes to get back to Green Island

I've been spoiled with my ride, can't say a bad thing about my triumph on the hull design. I have just outgrown it. 2 weeks ago sunday you were looking at legitimate 2' chop with whitecaps. I unloaded everyone before trying to dock loaded that way.

I snapped a video of those exact conditions on my iphone coming back from tyces about 2 1/2 weeks ago. The video really sucked though because the iphone flattened everything out because of the wide angle. We ran 35 mph home that day;cool;
