Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy the ilander and jr. ilander lures in various colors would be? I've checked lots of different sites & the deals I've found are for only a single or select few colors. Who has the biggest selection with the cheapest prices on these?

Not sure where the cheapest ones are, but make sure you have a couple blue and whites. They seem to be the most consistent color pattern for me.

try the www.internetlures.com (http://www.internetlures.com) version of the ilander (dolphin bullet and dolphin bullet junior). much cheaper, and I've had similar results. As with the ilander lures, I cut a lot of the hair off.
The joe shutes are similar to ilanders as well. terminator tackle has those. http://www.terminatortackle.com/fish-finder-skirts.php

Saw a pic of what looked like a big selection but no prices or way that I found to purchase online. Guess I'll try and call. Thanks!

EZ bait and tackle in Goldsboro has possibly the best selection of islanders and and tackle of any shop in NC. I was quite impressed with their overall selection and pricing.

One thing I like about Shutes is the cavity where the head / nose of the ballyhoo fits it.

Unless I'm looking at something wrong, their prices (at least online) seem to be about $10 higher than almost everyone elses.

Call down there and talk to Matt if I remember right....I visit a lot of tackle shops and their stuff was very much in line and better then a lot of shops. I picked up a couple more TLD 25s and he knocked off 15% on them as the few assorted tackle items I picked up with out asking. Their selection really is second to none regardless of your pursuit

Theyre not bad on some of their stuff, but other stuff(Like their reel prices) are a little high. You have to have help to locate anything in there as well.

vett, the guys name is Matt. I've been doing a bit more business with him and he is a wealth of knowledge.....here on THT his id is: bluewater cms. As was already stated, their prices (since he's been there) are pretty much in line. Even if they're a little higher, it takes me about 30-35 mins to get there and I can put my hands right on it and not have to wait!

Roger that. he helped me out one night way after closing when I was trying to figure out a knot when I was switching from mono to a braid mainline. We were out there in the parking lot trying to break eack others spider hitches and bimini twists!! I can just find the bigger stuff such as reels and fluro leader cheaper online than what they can sell it for. Every time I go in there though, I know it'll probably be at least an hour before I come back out.
