The Carolinas - NMB or Little River Fishing Report

Has anyone been able to fish out of North myrtle or little river lately. I know the water has been pretty rough the past month but we are looking to head back down there soon if the water allows and I haven't seen much about anyone fishing there lately. Thanks. ;?

Some kings have been caught at the Jungle and at 390/390 recently. I went out last Sunday but got caught in a thunderstorm, only fished a few minutes before running for the hill. Went again Saturday for a few hours, had a few bite offs but the bite was slow near the Jungle. The hot water 82.3 - 84.7 in the bay has not helped. Bottom fishing would probably be the best bet for the time being. ~JJ~

Thanks for the advice. we normally end up bottom fishing. Hopefully we will catch a good enough weekend one of these days to troll a bit. Do you know if they are catching the few kings on dead or live bait?

Hit the Jungle area today for about 40 mins before the storms closed in on us. Lots of life out there today, fish skying all over. Caught four false albies and a cuda with one break off. Pulled dead cigar minnows on Pirate Plugs and also tried out a new squid daisy chain I made over the winter.

Thanks for the report! I was going to try fishing this weekend but given the forecast we may just wait until next week to try it.

fished on the westwind last tuesday and had a great day. Some nice grouper and b-liners. My son caught a real nice flounder and a real american red snapper about 25 pounds. try explaining to a 9 year old that he has to throw that fish back.
