picked up 2 daiwa ventura 60
cannot find much info on them, seem to be very well made and are in mint condition. any info would be appreciated , line capacity, etc

Oh all right then...

Daiwa Ventura, Heddon Dominator, Daisy.

Some years back, I was on the trail of the Daiwa Ventura. Nice reel.

Funny thing was, that the reel was essentially identical to Henzes patent for the first Penn International reels.

"?", I said.

Imagine my surprise when I saw a Heddon Dominator... also this essentially identical.

Hmm.

So I asked a reel historian friend of mine about that, who immediately added a tidbit about Daisy also being involved. Don't recall exactly what the details of the whole story right now, since some was in old emails and others on a discussion board whose archives have vanished.

But I did ask a Heddon enthusiast named Harvey about the Dominator. He said that Heddon didn't make it themselves, but rather...?? Who was it again??

ANYWAY,

I didn't bother to post that at first, since I've written about it before and you could've found it yourself with a little effort and some Googling.
