Gulf Coast - What U dont wana see after spinning a prop...

Another beautiful day out on the G.O.M.... except lost hub on port motor 22 miles out... :mad:.... 3 hrs later get close to bar and see all hell breaking lose in bay... so i keep up my killer speed at 9 knots and pray!!!! made it to marina safe and caught a sick scamp today!!! :thumbsup: Hope this full moon calls it quit soon... Aj's been very skitish...

Damn that sucks, glad it didnt cause any damage and you made it back ok. Saturday was fun for us even though we only had few to clean when we got back it was a full day of blood, found a new honey hole for thos endangered bastards for sure, probably caught 30 over 20lbs

PoolBoy, were you out near the CJ Sunday Morning? I thought I recognized you from the pics on here but not sure. We were in my 27 ft red Seapro when a boat (Century I think) pulled up but didn't stay long. We didn't boat a single AJ. I'm not sure what we were doing wrong. Tried several spots and have never had that problem before. We tried jigs and live bait, just nothing. sucked after running that far

yea man i stopped there for a quick look and quick try.... didnt mark up very good... just structure on bottom machinel.... no bites.... i went west after that.... bite was tough bro.... seemed our live mullet about 8-12" was our only luck... but had to soak soak... you got a beautiful boat man.... we was all talking about it when we got close to you :thumbsup: i am chalking the bad bite to the moon... i marked up some good marks on some NB later that day in the 50-100 ft water column and nothing there too.... took all day to get 4 aj's... this weekend will be better!!!! :) hopefully.. u gonna be there?

Yeah thanks brother. I have been happy with it so far. The vrods have plenty of power for that hull. We tried corakers and hard tails with no luck. I am going to try to get a trip in this weekend, looking for redemption. Be safe. Maybe I will see you out there.
