My release clips won't hold bigger bars. Just wondering what guys are using when pulling larger baits.

Sorry, should've noted I was talking off outriggers. Are there heavy duty clips?

jzima,
You should also mention that east and north of Cape Cod, big bars mean 42 inch bars with 15 squid each 13 inches long.... Big baits are not Horse Ballyhoo for us Cape Codders.
BTW I like Aftco Roller Trollers. But others have differing opinions..

I prefer the Rupp Nock-outs.
I still think big rubber bands are what people use when the clips can't hold them. I was assuming he already tried roller trollers and they wouldn't hold.

Excellent point Mike. I always forget the details. It was my first run with outriggers, so I was just using the "premium" taco ones. I'll look into the roller trollers and knockouts. As always, thanks guys.
They seem to be less trouble then the rupps and cheaper.:)Cheaper is good if it works more bet er
