Bought a used radar arch for my boat. I will need to have the height cut down a bit. Thinking around 6" over the top of my bimini top would be proper. Any suggestions?

I had a Pursuit with an arch over the soft top. It was about 10" over the top. Just make sure that it is high enough that the top can fold back (if it folds ****** and out of the way without hitting the arch.
