Whats up with the REALLY nasty looking water in the HR area right now. Looks SUPER brown....like almost red ;?

Could well be the result of the high heat lately. Hopefully not an algae bloom.

I seen like 4 dead fish floating going in rude inlet. I have a feeling its a red tide :(. Bad for hurricanes(warm water)

Blood red in Tampa bay too! Worse than normal due to massive rain and water temp.

Yup algae bloom. There are streaks of it all the way up to the 3rd island but the water is pretty clean for the most part once you get past the 2nd. Saw it back to the HRBT when we were there 2 weeks ago.

It's everywhere. Tons of it around the mouth of the York River this weekend.

We ran into it past two weekends mostly south of 2nd all the way out to Cape Henry and into Little Creek, probably much further west. Don't recall seeing it when we fished a little north of 4th. Didn't seem to affect fishing as we did well with Flounder and limited out on Oyster Toads. :-P

As of Sunday, it was half way down the coast to Sandbridge. You had to run out a mile to get out of it.

I saw some north of Solmons two weeks ago.
