I havent had any time to fish this year. I have tomorrow off and trying to plan a quick run out to the Elizebeths or beyond. Anyone have a suggestion on what direction to head in. I am looking for stripers, blues, albie etc...I've been so busy this year I havent even caught my first schoolie never mind a keeper. totaly out of touch with this years migration.

Would really apprieciate some help for tomorrow. I am out of Mo beach by the west end of the Canal hoping to leave the dock by 9am.

Thanks guys

FNG,

I keep my Parker on a mooring at Mobeach. I fished the Vineyard last week but focused on Seabass and Fluke as I had kids on board and wanted to make sure they had some action. We had a decent bite of Fluke and Seabass off of Lucas shoals. We fished the deeper water South of the shoal in about 50 to 70'. If I was targeting Striped Bass, I would head over and fish Gay Head and Squibnocket with ttube and worm or chunking.

Water is really warm this year - get out early, or stay late if you can.

No, that's my buddy John. I own the Leda Marie on the other side of the mooring field.

Tight lines!

unless you are fishing for scup, seabass or fluke . . . I wouldn't even bother going fishing around the vineyard or buzzards bay.

There are plenty of 2 pound blue fish if look for them... not glamouros. but keeps the kids entertained especially on really light tackle.

I would not dismiss fluke and seabass, I caught some nice fish yesterday and the bite was great through the outgoing tide...

I didn't go out last week, so my info is already 10 or 11 days old. Striper fishing has been very slow around MV this year. The spring and early summer bite at Tom's shoal was pretty good, but that is long gone. I have spent some time at the west end and only caught one fish in three trips.

If you try it anyway, plan to visit Devil's Bridge, Squibnocket point, the channel markers and the backside of Nomans. Very fresh pogies are always a good choice, but it is hard to find fresh fish that have been properly handled. A poorly handled two day old pogy is crab bait. Bring everything you can think of and also try livelining scup and eels. Watch the fishfinder and when you find them, try everything you have. Don't leave fish to find fish. They are just as fussy everywhere you go.

Robinson's is still holding blue fish of pretty fair size, around six pounds I have not pulled a striper out of there this year. I have not tried Quick's or Pig and Sows yet, so I can offer no advice there.
