i am wondering if i can convert to bunks, looking for a new (used) boat now, a 19' runabout v hull. i hate rollers, guys with bunks make it looks SOOOO nice loading up, especially the ones driving right up!

so can any trailer be converted?
can any boat, or this style be used on bunks?

and last, is there any tech writeups on here for doing this

thanks!

I haven't done, but have seen it down. My Blackman 20 center console came with a galvanized, all roller EZ Loader trailer. As I intended to do tow down trips down the Baja, I ordered a Baja Proof galvanized bunk trailer and sold the EZ Loader. When I went to pick up the new bunk trailer, there was a 4' high pile of EZ Loader rollers in this guy's yard. Presumably, he'd be doing a lot of conversions.

I strongly dislike the roller trailers. I assume you add on brackets for bunks to do the conversion. I also dislike the EZ Loader trailer as it was made of box beam steel and bolted together. Box beam is more prone to rusting.
