Alright so I finally decided to let my wife by a boat. I am looking for something that I can get at least 25 miles offshore and possibly further in some good weather. I wouldn't mind doing some minor work and would be willing to do some serious cleaning to get her ready. I have between 15 and 20K to spend. Any help would be appreciated. I will also be asking some fishing questions for the forseeable future. Thanks in advance.

Where will you be boating from mostly?

I will be heading out of Southport and Carolina Beach most of the time.

If you don't mind doing some work find you an 24 Albemarle and have a blast fixing her up. I have a friend that has one he has not put on the market but will be shortly.

Hard to beat an older Albemarle 24 express. Great little battlewagon to fish the stream out of Southport. They are really a pleasure to run in the sea and will not beat you up at all.
Great gas mileage, the hardtop with curtains keep, the wind, water and sun off you and can fish 4 people without any problem.

It is easy for me to echo the above sentiments (see sig pic) particularly with the price of fuel. Also, it the price range you are looking there shouldn't be much fixing to do. They aren't speed demons and can be wet but fantastic boats non the less.

Thanks Jump4livn, they look even better packaged for delivery, LOL!! Just make sure you put THT in the comment area and anything over a 100.00 gets free shipping and anything over 150.00 gets a 10% discount and free shipping.
