Hi, all... I need to replace a Segull chart that I was using that blew out of my boat (anyone find one floating in Raritan Bay about a month ago?). Before buying it again, are there better options (e.g., buy a waypoint list for the CP, or fishtracker.com)?

I'm still new to fishing the area, so I need a general chart that shows the location of places like the Mudhole, Little Italy, etc..., which aren't always identified as such on the nav charts, so I know where I'm going if someone gives me a tip.

Any experience w/ the Waterproof Charts? They seem to cover a larger area...

The one you posted above seems to be a good Nav. chart.. but I don't think it is going to have the fishing areas you are interested in highlighted as they would be on a "Fishing" chart like Capt. Seagull charts.. Another good fishing chart is Homeport charts.. Check out the # 42 for R-bay

FYI - I found this chart at West Marine the other night. Other than having a list of coordinates, it didn't really seem that useful. Most of the items on the list were things you could find on any nav chart, just in a list format (bouys, wrecks, etc...).

I ended up buying another copy of the Capt. Segull chart for NY Harbor / Raritan Bay. I like that it has the general fishing areas shown. I'll have to check out the Homeport charts one day.
