The Carolinas - Any reports out of Ocracoke ?

Our family is down in Ocracoke now for the next 2 weeks. Towed down the boat and have it at the rental.

Anybody have any reports for offshore and inshore ?

U can catch drum in the inlet around the shoals and a few dolphin in fairly close, less than 10 miles

You can catch a good mess of crabs at the Dajio (that's inshore and west of the Rock Pile) after 11pm.

Been home for about one week after spending 10 days on the island. Only got offshore once but caught a few 10-15 lb dolphin and a nice wahoo (that was promply bitten in half by a hammerhead shark. worth losing the meat to see that). Never did find any bailers for the kids......Plenty of blues to cast to on the shoals or catch with trolled spoons. A few spanish along the beaches. hopefully the winds will lay down for you. Headed out early this morning only to turn around because of this brutal storm. We did catch some nice Spanish down the beach yesterday afternoon.

Knot a Clue - yea that was a big storm. You headed out tomorrow ? Forecast doesn't look great through Wednesday.

Yeah the charters were ahead of us going out they said on the radio they were going thru it. We are getting the boat on the trailer and leaving it at the house. Gotta be back home tomorrow unfortunately. Give us a report if you go please, be back in a couple of weeks
