Can you tell me if I can use old 2002 115hp 2 stroke Yamaha gauges with a 2012 90hp 4 stroke? Are the hook ups the same? Looking to upgrade, but want to keep the cost down. Don't need digital.

Are they digital gauges now that you have?

The tachometer will function, and if the gauge has 2 buttons on the front of it, it has the 4-stroke functionality to it.

I know the wiring harness from the old tach will be different on the engine end. New engines use one plug, and your current harness will have 2.

Do you have a picture of the 2 plugs on the back of the current tach?

Another idea is to sell the current tach with the old engine. Replace that tach, with this one for a 2005 or newer Yamaha.http://www.simyamaha.com/Yamaha_Tach_Rigging_Kit_p/6yr-w0035-e3-00.htm
