I am heading up to Gloucester this weekend and have a mooring. I don't have the shower in the head hooked up and the wife wouldn't shower there if I did. I was wondering if any one knows of a public shower or somewhere they let boaters pay to use showers. If there isn't anything its some soap and into the harbor we go. I hope the harbor water is clean!

If you can change moorings I have an idea. Go to Eastern Point Yacht Club. For $40 per night you get a mooring and full use of the club facilities. Launch service is included. Heated pool, showers, free ice, etc. You can also use their restaurant and lounge.

That does sound like a great idea and I think I will visit there sometime. We are going to be going to the Gloucester Block Party on Sat on Main St. in Gloucester, so the inner harbor works out nicely for that. Eastern Point YC looks like it has a great locations and some nice facilities.

We grabbed a mooring at the AYC for $40 a night with all the same amenties mentioned above. That's it in the background.

Boat Bum,

Thanks. I have also heard the ride up the Annisquam River is nice. I am really looking to for something in the inner harbor of Gloucester b/c of the event going on Saturday evening. I was wondering if they have anything like Martha's Vineyard does where you pay a small fee to use some shower area. It doesnt sound like that area has much in that area. Thanks for the input!

Spider,

I was down in your neck of the woods last week, spent a couple days at Constitution Marina.

Boat Bum,

Nice pics. I was in Constitution last year. Great location. I keep the boat in Quincy now, I guess I need to update my info. I hope you had a good time.

No public showers along the water that I know of. EPYC is beautiful - well worth the $40.
