2012 Bluewater 2850 with twin 300 etecs, currently running 14 x 23 deg, 4 blade cyclone props. Hole shot is fine, fuel consuption is ok at 1.4 at 2500-3600, but wide open throttle I cant get over 4950 rpm, at that i get 53mph on flat seas and that is pretty much regardless of weight. I have one Renegade 14x21 4 blade, and was thinking of getting a second, to try that out. I have a friend with exact same boat with twin 250 etecs with 14 x 19 and he gets 56mph and higher rpm, dont know what his fuel comsuption rate is though. I was told that I may be causing my engines to overwork with the 23 deg pitch props I have now.

Suggestions;?

yes find out what your wot rpm is supposed to be in a range. like 5000 to 6000 and you want to be as close to the top number as possible. you probably could use 19s.

WOT should be 5500+ RPM
