Leaving Boston Harbor Friday am for a weekend in PTown with several other boats. Will be taking a little detour over the SW corner of the bank. What are the chances of whale sightings in that area. Should I just look out for the WW boats and follow them?

Should I just look out for the WW boats and follow them?Typically you would see plenty in the SWC/Ptown area but I ran down to Ptown a few weeks ago from Boston and fished all day on the NWCtwo days before that and both days very few whales,really strange for this time of year.I think they're waiting for Obama to get out of the White House like most people I know.

they are there, just not on the bank right now. go SE of the bank, and look for the ww boats. was surrounded by them sunday. no tuna, but humpbacks breaching show.

The whales seem to like a spot a couple miles SE of the SE corner. Not sure why but they were hanging out there last year too.

Few miles north of the Cove had plenty of whales Sunday.

I was a little s/se of P-town Sunday, loaded with whales/ Minky,Humpback and some other kind? Also was lucky enough to witness a pod of dolphin come flying in and steal dinner right from the whales while they were feeding. Dolphins would shoot right up to the whales mouth when they surfaced and take dinner. Quite the sight

Sounds like the South end of the bank is where the action is. May be worth going all the way to the SE part of the bank but WTH it should be worth it.
