Overall it was a nice week even though the fishing wasn't the best. We landed a few decent Spanish but mostly a lot of Blues, one Red Drum, and a few Cobia. It was just so hot all week and the wind blew from the Southwest every day. On Saturday we headed down to Hatteras and started out the inlet. The were calling for 3-5' with the winds picking up in the afternoon however we ran through 6-8' and made it out to the sea buoy when my buddies 12 year old son decided he wanted to turn around and go back in! The last thing either of us wanted was to scare him so bad that he would not want to go back out in the future so we headed back in and went back up to Oregon Inlet which was flat calm! Thankfully the Blues were biting and we landed around 30 fish trolling near the new inlet at Pea Island. Hopefully we will see a weather change and the conditions will improve next week!
