What horse power would be good for bringing 3 people fishing 2 miles out, is it safe? I was thinking of a 10HP for $200 but then I have to get it registered?

I would not take a boat like that out there.

That ain't right. Must be a joke. There are muskies larger than that on St Clair.

I'll bet you could get ahold of a mid 80's Johnson V-8 outboard for around $200 (Give or take $2500) . Should make yer 2 mile trip go by pretty darn quick. Watch it when you come on and off plane though.. and just about any other time with that combo as well. My cousins sisters nephews dogs neighbors dads friends brothers girlfriends dad did that and it was saaaweeeeet.

Hey y'all watch this! Might want to take some PFD with you. If you are bound to do it, try Anchor Bay. It will give you a relatively safe area to fish.

BTW, I have a 14' Lund with a 20hp Merc I use on St. Clair when it is too rough for the 240cc Everglades. My granddaughter also uses it for canal cruising.

Pull the trigger, on yourself.
