Have a 1980 Phantom Bass boat with an EVINRUDE SPL 48 2-stroke engine.
The control box is an OMC. I was told that in order to hook up a tach, I need to send from tach side the ignition (Hot) and ground to ignition and ground terminals in control box. Also, the signal terminal from the tach needs to go to either SIG or ALT post in control box.
2 questions: Is this true and if so, I do not know what I am looking at in the control box.
Can someone help??????? WHere do I find these in the control box?
