I went through this last October to fish the Destin rodeo. The only place I found was Pelican Adventures, it was $2.50 / ft.
We stayed right down the street one block so it worked out.
Looked at my notes and it is Captain Bill who actually owns the slips and rents them out.
Good luck and if you find something else, let me know, would like to update my notes in case I go back down in the fall.

You can try Shalimar yacht basin. I am keeping mine there through the summer. I think the noncovered slips are 1.50 a ft.? I'm not 100 percent certain. It's about 4 miles or so from the pass.

Sounds crazy but..... If where you are staying is on the bay or harbor, think of anchoring the boat just off the sand or bulkhead without a slip rental. We did this on the bay for a week with two boats and it worked great. Obviously a little swimming or wading is involved.

I figured with a 23 he'd have to be staying somewhere. Might kill two birds with one stone.

Stupid question, but how safe is this? People don't worry about other boaters out there while you're asleep? Talking about collisions not robbery. But I'd worry about theft is I had the boat at anchor and we left it there and used another boat to go to shore. CC isn't going to call to have it towed in? Sorry, not to familiar with the laws of anchoring a boat in the bay and leaving it unattended.

I have no certain answers regarding safety and theft. As far as theft, hell how secure is a boat tied to a dock? What keeps someone from untieing and towing it away? Possibly only a suspicious onlooker at 4am. Collisions, well we have anchored them well out of the path of boat traffic. Examples are next to a group of slips, next to a bulkhead at a condo complex etc. just a thought that's all. I've done it both ways, paid $300 for a slip and anchored for free.

Thanks for all the suggestions fellas, I ended up launching at the Cessna state park which is a dream launch. Then I ran to baytowne and tied up for 1.50/ft. per night. Not a bad deal, those guys run a pretty good operation and not a bad run to the pass.
