Installed a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 which replaced a Tekonsha Voyager. Wiring on this is pretty straight forward. The display is always on, even with ignition off. Is it supposed to be like that? Wouldn't that drain the batteries?

She will go off after about 15 minutes or so with the key removed .
I thought the same thing , but was told it did this as a safety measure. If the truck starts to move with the ignition off , it will apply the brakes.

Interesting. Guess I can stop fumbling through the buttons looking to turn it off. Thanks!
