I took my son fishing out of Shark River Inlet today and saw a bunch of bunker but didn't see anything under them...they also just seemed to be cruzing around. Was I missing something or was it just not my day?

Thanks...

Fish are in the ocean.
Problem is , it's a big ocean and they have those tails !

I was out with my son looking for anything....bluefish...stripers...etc....just to have some fun. There was tons of bait but we didn't have any luck with the snag and drop method. I didn't even see anything under the schools of bunker on the ff.

I was fishing out of shark river inlet north and we even spent some time on the klondike.

thanks again!

The bass have been mostly gone for a few weeks now. The only bluefish have been further off towards the mudhole and beyond for the last week or so.
You'd be far better off checking out Bassbarn or NJFishing for that kind of stuff. THT is awesome for general boating stuff, but those others are much better for NJ fishing reports.

The bass are under the schools bright and early you have about a 30 min window and they aren't plenty. 2 weeks ago we could walk on the bunker schools but the most action we had was a thresher shark, got him near the boat but the dolphins chased him off. That was disappointing but nothing is better than watching them whip that tail around on the hunt.
