Hey guys
Looking to "freshen up" my black rub rail on my Mako. Having tried the temporary "Back to Black" application from Mothers, looking for a more permanent fix.
Anyone know of a hard rubber paint or other fix to brighten up?

There was a similar post the other day. I think someone recommended "Meek". Try the search function.

"Meek" if that's right, is a trade name for a solvent. Apparently it removes a thin layer of the rub-rail and leaves a shinny new finish.

Get a can of bull dog. It is sort of like a primer for plastic. I have used it before. But remember! It is a rub rail that you are trying to make more attrctive. Any paint will rub off.

So I imagine its got a primer type of finish compared to glossy.
I was looking up Meek but will also look for cleaning rubrail

It's MEK ( methyl ethyl keytone ) and it dissolves PVC plastics ( will remove the oxidation) and is far more effective than acetone or any other cleaner that I've used to clean PVC rub rails.
