Anyone know a good machine shop that can extend my trolling motor about 6ft so i can mount it to my 38 Rampage, probably put a power pole on there too.
Kidding of course, but this FUC#$ing wind i cant use the bayboat anywhere and can get offshore, i thought it was JUNE!!!!:banghead::bashhh:

These times are when we would just hit Deer Island on the North side and or Grass Hopper Island in Back Bay Biloxi. At least we could enjoy a cold one.

I have a buddy from N MS coming down with his son today. I put the Contender in the water yesterday to go for a run, but I don't plan on going offshore this weekend with this forecast. So as I am trying to come up with fun things to do with my guests, I actually called a buddy to ask about borrowing one of those pull behind tubes. He said sure, but you need to get a ski rope. I asked him what that was (just kidding).
Looks like it will be the bay boat out early to try a little fishing where ever we can find out of the wind up in the marsh. Then maybe take the big boat for joy ride near shore/inshore. I am sure there will have to be some adult refreshments involved somewhere.

You guys need to learn the back bay, it really pays off when we have conditions like the past three weeks. Last Sat. We were on fish all day long, every place we fished you could have fished out of a 30 FT CC.

Could I have a map with the spots you were fishing :)
BTW, were you on specks?

I know the river marsh pretty good over here in Jxn Cty. I am just b#$@ching because I can't get out deep. Fortunately, I do have a smaller boat to go inshore and have been having some decent luck on the flounder when I do get to go. Most of those places I wouldn't take my big boat though (especially since I use a trolling motor a lot). Now if you know a secret spot with some snapper and ling in the Back Bay, I am all ears.

Check your messages.
Yes, schools of specs (13"-14") were constantly passing by @ the eastern spots I sent you.
Those are pretty popular areas, be prepared to share your fishing grounds with other.
We easily caught over 150 fish saturday. Mostly good to quality fish with the occasional Hard head.
We always eat lunch at "Mike's on the bayou" @ Ft. bayou, one of the best Shrimp Poboys you will ever eat. It is boat accessible.

Got it thanks!
Yeah Mike's I haven't been to yet but I've definitely heard about it.
It is funny you said share the spot because one of them had 3 or 4 boats at one of them. Ha.

I've been catching a few trout and reds in the bayous by my house in moss point, good thing about the bayous is the wind doesnt really matter. I usually stay in the marsh in the winter time but with this wind i've been in there all year... Still waiting on a clear night for some floundering!

I was listening to the weather station on my CB in the truck when I went to town for lunch and all I heard from "Pascagula to the Pass" was:
15-20 knot winds
3-5ft
4-6ft
5-9ft
I just turned it off and started thinking about plan B.
