Jim,

Thinking about adding this to my Gen 1 HDS-7 as it's substantially less than hunting down a Yamaha Speed / Fuel Mgt gauge kit.

Couple of questions...how well does it work? And will I need anything else besides the kit to make it work? Or does it just plug in to the back of the HDS. I'm not currently running anything else off the head unit, other than NMEA 0183, which shouldn't be affected.

They work very well for fuel flow and fuel used on a specific trip. People often run into issues where fuel used over multiple trips loses accuracy.

To install it all you need is the EP-60 and a nmea2000 starter kit. Here are links:
