All, we are just starting the process of selecting our next boat. We will primarily use it for inshore fishing, crabbing, and general boating. On occasion we will have nine of us for cruising in the rivers and bays in the Mid-Atlantic (DE & MD). When fishing, we will likely have 4-5 max. We are thinking that a center console with a porta potty may be the best option, like the Hydra Sports 230 Sea Horse. Oh, did I mention that it must be towable as well. :o Thoughts? What boat would meet our needs? Thanks for any input.

Sorry, should have kept going. We are definitely going used. Likely in the 21' - 24' range, as new as possible, but given our budget of $10k-$15K max, we would also consider an older boat that has been restored/very well kept.

Check out a trihull deck boat. Hurricane or NauticStar.

Challenging to find a comfortable boat for 9 in that size. Looked at both Hydra Sports and Nautic Star and was impressed by both. Ended up with a Grady White Freedom 225 since I felt it handled Long Island sound better.
But the Nautic Star DC23 was a very nice boat New you could get a deal last year for 50k new, so I have to think you could buy used <10 yrs at the top of your range. Not alot of those made back then so you may have to look for awhile.
Good luck
