Andy, I just posted this on the boating forum, thought you might be taking the weekend off, hoping foor an answer asap.

"I searched for an answer but could not find and answer to my problem, I probably missed it.

Put boat in water for season two weeks ago, it started and ran perfectly from the ramp to my dock (about three miles). Last weekend I started the boat and ran to fill the fuel tanks (about a two mile ride), again both 2006 F250 engines ran perfectly. While fueling up I noticed oil sheen on the water, I assumed it was a small spill from the diesel sporty that filled up before me. Ran back to the dock full of fuel and engines ran great.

Now back at my dock, I noticed a small puddle of motor oil in the engine well. Assumed it was from the recent oil change and cleaned it up real well. Performed some tests and learned that oil was dripping from the starboard instake runner on the starboard engine. Removed the plastic intake runner and learned it was covered with oil residue inside.

Does anybody know what the problem is? Oil level was good, oil is Yamaha, oil and oil filter have about one hour on them (still real clean), engine(s) run great (hit 40 knots on way to fuel dock, best I ever get)."

Could the oil be leaking out the dipstick when its tilted up?

I was hoping it was the dipstick itself or the connection between the dipstick holder and block, it does not appear to be either. I am almost certain the oil is dripping from the rear vertical side of the intake manifold where it meets the cylinder head. When I pulled the plastic manifold, it dripped about ten drops of oil out of it and the interior was lightly coated with oil residue.

My guess is the oil is actuallly coming from the one (or all) of the ports in the cylinder head on the starboard side (perhaps just at rest) and drooling into the intake manifold when the engine is tiled up after running the motor. This is mostly conjecture as I only noticed the oil drip when I was about to leave the boat last Sunday evening. I can say the highest place I found a trace of oil was the bottom of the intake manifold (just behind the dip stick about an inch higher), this was when the engine was down in the vertical position.

I can't help but think it is not the oil pump I read about since the oil drips much higher than the actual oil pump and is inside the intake manifold.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.
