made this tonight hoping to test it out on saturday.
i used 7in slugos with a 9in stinger. i also have another stinger thats shorter that i can use for bass.

if alot of people show interest i can get in contact with lunker city and buy the slugos wholesale and start mass producing them.
i can make them strickly for tuna single hook or for bass with 7 hooks

Looks pretty sweet!! Is the idea to run a heavy drail weight ahead of it?

CB,

North of MV, we troll slower for bluefin than is done down south of our islands. 3 to 5 knots is much more common.

That's bluefish heroin. That thing is going to look like this after you pull it through a school of bluefish.

Yes I do plan on adding a weight ahead of it. And the bluefish are the reason I have like 10 spares:mad:

The issue I see is that tuna have incredible eye sight and are going to see the umbrella from a mile away and not eat it. Sure if you troll it long enough you may find the one "blind Squirrel" that will eat it but if I were you I would keep it simple and run just a single 9" or 12" sluggo on a single hook and 130-150# flouro carbon.

I can attest to that:nono: Made one 3 years ago, ran well and got chewed to shit about 15 min after entering the water on the SEC :bashhh:

keep it simple. a simple slugo string/ single slugo or a RonZ will catch just as many or more fish.

A think if it did somehow get bit it wouldn't hold together. Why do the teasers have hooks?

I'm a fan of a single white 9" on a ballyhoo hook way back. They find it just fine.

one reason I pull faster sometimes is to keep the yellowed eyed monsters out of the spread. Tuna wack the crap out of spreader bars some I am less conserned with eyesight.
I have tried to pull stuff like that and a 20zo drail helps until you catch a fish. Just easier to drag spreaders.

Bluefish will hit highspeed bars.

I am have visions of a dogfish chandelier

as said above a 1 single 9" or 12" is all you need.

BUT, if you trolled that inshore, the bass would love it.
