Beyond upset after taking the time to remove my 30 year old fuel tank from my 20 outrage, new fuel lines to new poly tank in the belly, new filter for the fuel/water separator, fuel was from high volume fuel station, was in the tank 10-14 days at most. Bottle of startron blue in the tank. Ran great for first fire up in the driveway. launched today, 10 mintes of idle/warm time before leaving the landing, 20 minutes later after slow speed through the no wake zones, could hear the engine pace changing, starting to stutter and bog and finally.....done. Would not hold a restart. My heart sank as this was the same deal last summer when bad fuel caused blown head, had to replace all injectors, etc.....
VST? What else? I'm fit to be tied with an 03 with 145 hours....

Hey Powdah,
Before you throw in the towel try isolating (or changing) all of the 3 check valves on the fuel system. If it's a new tank, then you should have a new Anti Siphon valve at the pick up tube (but, with ethanol theses can seize up in no time). The second is your primer bulb (when your motor "bogged down" was your primer bulb suctioned in on itself?) The last check valve is just past the fuel filter under the cowling. It is a round black item about as big as 5 or 6 quaters stacked together. Bypass this one with a double barb fitting.
I went through this same type issue last fall, the boat ran great all summer then just in time for the really good fishing, I stayed hooked up to Sea Tow more often than not. I ran my boat with the 2 of the 3 check valves bypassed (kept extra primer bulbs on board) until I was certain I had run all of the bad gas out. Sea Foam has been my best friend since alnog with only certified non ethanol stations.
Good Luck!
